Jack Reacher is a character in a series of novels by Lee Child and I haven't read them all, but I have read quite a few. The first one I read was somewhere in the middle of the series (I didn't know then that it was a series) and I loved the character. He has no identity and no belongings and he keeps it that way by using cash for everything and throwing away a set of clothes after a few days to buy a new set. I won't go into how he manages this - try the books- but he's a really fun and imaginative character. As he travels like a nomad he continually gets himself caught up in things as he is a bit of a cross between the Knight in Shining Armor who wants to rescue people (usually women!) and a vigilante. The books don't get bogged down in a bunch of romantic slush, however, so if you are into romance more than mystery/thriller books- you might not like these. I recommend that you start with the first novel- The Killing Floor.

Welcome to All Things Book - ish
While I have a myriad of interests and such, my most enduring love has always been the simple book. Good old print books are still among the dearest of my devotions, but I also enjoy just about every form of reading media from e-books and online novels to audio books to movies made-from-books to magazines and such. So, while I have other sites that have to do with books, I thought it was time to have at least one devoted to nothing but the wonderful readable thing we bibliophiles adore. (If you are interested in my other sites, online articles, places to buy books that will help me keep my sites up- you'll get the opportunity all over this blog, but I figured in this intro I'd stick to a plain greeting!) Most readers are also writers, some in the closet and some not. Some write only a little and some have piles of manuscripts. Since the writer is so crucial to the book, this blog won't neglect the art of the writer: fiction, non-fiction, reviews, self-publications, webzines and content, nanowrimo and more on that. So, hopefully this blog will soon attract some book folks who might want to read about this lovely subject. I welcome comments of any lengths- your comments can be additions to the blog. If you'd like me to review a particular book and I can get access to it, just email me at tig4XXzen @ XXhotmail.com (remove the XX's) and ask. If you'd like to review one to be posted on the blog, email it to me and I'll post it (with your real or pseudo byline if you prefer it.) So- here we go- I shall build it and I hope you come!
